Paper Models

A few years ago, a dad who was an electrical engineer volunteered to teach our church kids some crafts. He used cardboards to construct cars, planes, stationery holders and many other things for fun. Unfortunately, he moved and we didn’t keep any patterns. Our church kids missed him very much. Lucky me, I stumbled across PaperToys.com that provides many paper models, downloadable for free.

Mother’s Day is coming, how about making a Gift Box For Moms? Maybe a funny Pop-Up Card: Bird for himself/herself. If your child likes more challenging crafts, here’s a Thanksgiving Turkey. (Hmm…. Not yet. Wait until Thanksgiving!) For my church kids, this Sydney Opera House would be their interests.

If your kid is tired of colouring pictures and wants to do something different, these paper projects would be good alternatives. It helps to develop his/her spatial ability.
