Why Raising Boys Are Not Easy
By quoting an article, The Trouble With Boys , Blogging Baby brought up the issue of raising boys that generated a lot of discussions and stated:
“According to the article, since boys are biologically, developmentally and physiologically different from girls, special steps need to be taken to ensure that they excel.”
The article’s striking title summarizes the compelling issue of how to help boys succeed at school:
“They’re [boys are] kinetic, maddening and failing at school. Now educators are trying new ways to help them succeed.”
Not only do educators have to try new ways to help boys, but also parents who are at the frontline have to rescue. The first step is to understand boys. Why are boys so different from girls? In what ways are boys different from girls? What is the best way to turnaround the scenario that boys are failing at school?
Coincidently I’ve just finished reading a book, Bringing Up Boys written by James Dobson. The book has detailed analysis of why and how boys are different in many ways. It also provides parents with insightful ideas of how to live with boys. The following short posts are excerpted from the book which can give you the important ideas of the book in just 5 minutes.
I hope these ideas would benefit you in the process of raising your boys and appreciating their uniqueness.
