Ask MetaFilter: Public School or Home School?
An increasing number of parents go for homeschooling their children, as numerous studies have confirmed that home-educated students outperform their publicly-run school peers by 30 to 37 percentile points across all subjects (see academic findings). When parents consider the possibility of homeschooling, some pros and cons have to be taken into
account. Ask MetaFilter digs into the topic with parents’ precious experience and discussion. If you consider homeschooling, the site might help you to think through and plan well. If you have any experience or opinion, feel free to share in the comments or email me to share with other parents.

[…] Not long ago, I had a post on how to find homeschooling resources through AskMetafilter. Recently I stumbled on a blog, Sprittibee (via a post requesting prayers for a girl, named Emily over at Sprittibee). Then I managed myself to spend some time surfing on it. It’s amazing. there’s a lot of homeschool links and resources posted on the blog. Sprittibee is very committed and has put much effort and time to gather these helpful resources to share with parents. If you are thinking about homeschooling, and/or thinking about participating in a Christian homeschooling community, Sprittibee is a pretty good place to start with. Tags: Parenting, Homeschooling […]
