		<description>It bothers me that recess is going by the wayside.  In kindergarten last year, my son had recess every day in addition to P.E..  This year, in first grade, he has P.E. everyday, except one day when the class has recess instead.  I don't think it should be an either/or choice.  I think some form of free play - RECESS - should be included EVERY DAY!  Kids need an opportunity just to be kids!  

I encourage all of mine to play outdoors whenever the weather permits, but I know as they get older those opportunities become more limited (with homework and other extra-curricular activities).  I wish the schools would stop focusing so much on classroom learning all the time and give the children more opportunities just to be kids!</description>
