Choosing the Right Crib

Many new parents would be so eager to get a good-looking crib for their baby-to-be. When I was pregnant with my first baby, who now is a handsome young man, I also had a “crush” on every beautiful crib in all the baby shops I went for. No matter how expensive they would be, I just wanted to get one for my new baby.

Getting a crib is a serious business because your baby will spend many hours there especially for the new born. A wise parent won’t choose a crib just because it is good looking. The first priority of choosing a crib must be safety, the second is function. 1.With bars no more than 2 3/8 inches apart.To make sure that the baby couldn’t slip through or strangle himself between the bars.

2.The mattress should fit tightly.In order to prevent the infant from becoming wedged between the mattress and the side of the crib.

3.When the child gets older, remove the bumpers, pillows and toys from the sleeping area.Don’t let the child step on them to climb out of the crib and fall.
