Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Kids

Many kids and teens complain of feeling tired all the time. They could be making excuses to avoid school or school work, lack of sleep or overly active in sports. However, have you ever thought that some of them are physically sick? Some researchers believe that if fatigue is prolonged for over 6 months, not alleviated by rest, without any other known medical conditions, then it could be a case of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS). According to KidsHealth:

An estimated half a million people in the United States have a CFS-like condition, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

Chronic fatigue syndrome is more common in females than males and it affects all racial and ethnic groups. CFS usually strikes people between the ages of 20 and 40, but it also occurs in teens. A CFS-like illness also has been determined to occur in children younger than 12. The actual number of children and teens affected by CFS is unknown.

    what i see with kids of today is the words ( child abuse)kids tend to take these 2 words to seriously…i remember when i was a kid( im 51 now ) my mother would whip my butt and spank me and make me go out in the back yard and break my own switch off a tree to whip me with and if i came back with the wroing size i got whipped twice as bad…………kids have it soooooooooooooooooo easy now a-days…..lets see if they could handle the days of my youth and punishments.i DONT think they could handle it
