A Treat For My Daughter

You might have noticed that, for the last few days I’ve been talking a lot about my daughter. Yes, you’re right. She is the focus of our family at the moment. She’s just graduated from high school and going to university this year which starts in February. As for rewarding her hard work all along her high school study, my husband and I plan to take her for an overseas trip in 10 days. Where are we going? Hong Kong — A place where we can buy lots of things we need and eat various ethnic foods, like Japanese, Chinese, Malaysian at very cheap prices. Things we are planning to buy are clothes, computer software, gadgets and many more.

I have done some homework before we go (If you’re not interested, ignore them):

During our stay in Hong Kong, it will be a big event, celebrating Chinese New Year. Although Chinese New Year Day is on 29 Jan., a series of celebration activities will start from 23 Jan. Some events we can enjoy are:

International Chinese New Year Night Parade

Lunar New Year Firework Display

Flower Markets

Sport Events

Lastly, I found an interesting thing to share with you, that is Chinese Horoscope. Year 2006 is the year of the dog. If you’re interested, follow the link, then key in the year you’re born, you can check out your fortune for this year. Mind you, don’t take it too seriously, just for fun !
