Happy Mother’s Day
In Australia, we just finished our Mother’s Day. I’m going to bed after writing this post. I’ve got a simple but meaningful Mother’s Day. This morning I enjoyed our pastor’s encouraging words on being a respectful mom (with lots of jokes). Many friends were invited to come and join us. Our church teens and younger children formed a group to sing a song, Give Thanks (by Don Moen) to all mothers who came. Quite nice. Then some gifts were presented to all mothers. I’ve got one too – a lipstick! A few hours ago, my son shouted me a fantastic Chinese dinner. Yummy. That’s my Mother’s Day this year.
A few thoughts came up:
- Appreciation of mothers is a cultural thing. Our children will response well if they see people modelling around. It comes naturally.
- As a mother myself, I’d like to appreciate every effort my children put in to please me no matter how big or small it is.
- I really wish everyday was a Mother’s Day.
Wish a Happy Mother’s Day to all of you moms.

I agree about the smallest gifts meaning the most on Mother’s Day. I’m taking a poll about the most creative Mother’s Day gift you’ve ever received - please comment! http://www.kellycurtisblogspot.com .
