Remembering Positive Events of the Day

Once you’ve got your little one tucked in, each of you pick 5 positive events of the day to remember…
“I remember picking you up from school and watching you playing ball with your friends.”
“I remember laughing at the restaurant.”
“I remember throwing that fishing line out so far.”
“I remember shopping for yarn.”
This trains the brain to think positively when the body lays down instead of getting into the bad habit of entertaining worrisome thoughts at bedtime. It also helps to grow a “glass half full” outlook rather than the “glass half empty” mindset.
Helpful hint: Stick to things that happened today.
