10 Ways to Make Toilet Training Fun

Here I found 10 interesting ways to toilet training on zipbaby. The way of “Blue & Yellow Make Green” might appeal to children with visual or logical learning style. As for the way of “Books, Videos, DVDs”, I tried before and found it work for my children. Although DVDs have not yet been invented when my children were young, only books and toys were the things we could use. I used to set a toilet training time everyday, once in the morning about one hour after their first meal, and another time that is flexible when I spotted the signs. Then I gave my children some books to flip through or toys to play with during their toilet training time. My children would be more willing to cooperate with me and think that was a special place and time to play. I think, make the toilet training time as fun as possible is the idea. Here are some examples:

  • Blue & Yellow Make Green - Put a few drops of blue food coloring in the toilet and show your child that the color turns green when he or she pees in the potty!
  • Potty Training Doll - Anatomically correct drink & wet dolls, such as the Corolle or Aquini dolls, help make toilet training fun and easy. This method is recommended by Dr. Phil.
  • Books, Videos, & DVDs - toilet training bedtime stories, videos and DVDs are a fun educational way to introduce toilet training to your child.
