Cleaning Tips: Super sticky sticker stuff

Ever experience that after buying any product home with a sticky price tag on, it’s very difficult to remove it away. Especially for glassware, just using soap and water, the sticker residue won’t go regardless of your endless effort and time. Over at HowToCleanAnything you can have some simple tips for removing sticker residue easily in many cases:

1. Glassware: Use WD-40 it breaks down the sticker residue on the surface. And the oily residue left behind can be easily cleaned by using soap and water.

2. Clothes: use a solvent like nail polish remover to remove sticky residue from it.

3. Glass windows: Spray some water or Windex on the surface and scrape off the sticky residue with the flat razor.

Howdy, also “Eucalyptus oil” works too, I was told this is a natural alternative, especially if you are getting stickers of kids drink bottles ;)

My husband and I recently removed the tint off our car windows. Our inexperienced effort on the first window left a huge amount of sticky-bits after the tint had come off. After hours of scrubbing… out came the bi-carb soda. I sprinkled some bi-carb on a wet paper towel and slapped the wet paper towel straight onto the glass. Two minutes later, I peeled the paper towel away from the glass, and gently wiped the sticky-bits off with a fresh paper towel. Done! This also worked with a VERY sticky “Next Service Due” sticker that a mechanic had stuck to the car.
